So today I get home from being out and about ready to fire up the Playbook. I get sat down and go to load up my favorite twitter client Blaq. Just my luck, due to issues with twitter I couldn't access Blaq. So what's a guy to do? Lightbulb! "Let's try the tablet optimized site on the Playbook". Genius right? Well this time it didn't turn out that way.
The lag and choppiness can be attributed to performance issues that have been reported recently. The fact that when I try to make a new post and the keyboard doesn't appear when I start typing is another story. Now don't get me wrong here, I fully understand that there are bugs to be worked out of any new website format after it is released. This particular version of the site has been live for quite some time now with no signs of improvement since the launch.
I know I can always use the desktop version or the app on my Blackberry. Trust me I wear the keys off of my Blackberry from constant use, I am just saying that if something is going to be made available for public use then at least support it. A nice, clean, and functional mobile site is not too much to ask is it?
I almost forgot to add that I love the pull down to refresh feature. This is the one redeeming feature of the tablet site. If it were not for that one thing I don't think the site would really have anything to offer a potential user.
This concludes my rant. If you have made it this far then thank you for taking the time to read my words.
